Yuji Nunokawa

Yuji Nunokawa (1947-2022) was a Japanese anime producer, animator, and director. He co-founded Studio Pierrot, known for successful anime series like Kimagure Orange Road, Naruto, YuYu Hakusho, Bleach, and Tokyo Ghoul.

Nunokawa received several awards and honors during his career, including the Commissioner for Cultural Affairs Award and the Blue Ribbon Medal of Honor. He served as the chairman of the Association of Japanese Animations from 2009 to 2014. He passed away at the age of 75 on December 25, 2022.
