Studio Pierrot

Pierrot Co., Ltd. is a renowned Japanese animation studio established in May 1979 by Yuji Nunokawa. It is headquartered in Mitaka, Tokyo. Pierrot is known for popular anime series like Naruto, Bleach, Tokyo Ghoul, Yu Yu Hakusho, Black Clover, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Ghost Stories, Great Teacher Onizuka, and Saiyuki.

The company’s logo features the face of a clown, symbolizing the Japanese loanword “Piero,” meaning clown. Yu Yu Hakusho and Saiyuki received the prestigious Animage Anime Grand Prix Award in 1994 and 1995, and 2000, respectively.
