Showgate

Amuse Video Co., Ltd. started as the media visual business of Amuse, a Japanese entertainment agency. It later changed its name to Amuse Pictures Co., Ltd. and formed a business alliance with Toshiba, becoming Toshiba Entertainment Co., Ltd. In 2007, it became Showgate Inc., a subsidiary of Hakuhodo DY Media Partners. In 2015, it took over the entertainment business functions from its parent company and changed its name to Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures Inc. The brand name Showgate is still used for video business and event production.

Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures Inc. is a comprehensive entertainment company in the Hakuhodo DY Group. They produce and invest in animation works, distribute movies, purchase overseas movies and dramas, produce and sell video and DVD software, sell broadcasting rights, and engage in event promotion and property merchandising. Disc manufacturing is outsourced to the Memory Tech Gotemba Factory.
