Kinema Citrus

Kinema Citrus Co., Ltd. is a Japanese animation studio founded in 2008 by former members of Production I.G and Bones. It is based in Suginami, Tokyo. Notable works include Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 (2009), .hack//Quantum (a 3-episode OVA series), Black Bullet, Barakamon (2014), Made in Abyss (2017), and The Rising of the Shield Hero (2019).

In 2019, Kadokawa and Bushiroad acquired a combined total of 31.8% of Kinema Citrus, following a partnership agreement between the three companies for creating various anime projects. This acquisition was a result of their collaborative efforts.
